Teresa Hayashi Wales is a partner with Welsh, Wales & Fry, PLC. Over the course of Teresa’s nearly 30 year career, she has successfully represented numerous individuals, general contractors, subcontractors, businesses, and municipalities in tort and contract litigation, primarily in the areas of general liability, construction defect, complex litigation, personal injury and product liability.
Teresa obtained her undergraduate degree in Social Ecology and Criminal Justice from the University of California, Irvine. Thereafter, she earned her Juris Doctor Degree from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. She is licensed to practice in the State Courts of California (1994) and Arizona (2003), as well as the U.S. District Court - Central District of California (1994), and U.S. District Court of Arizona (2003).
Teresa serves as a settlement conference Judge Pro Tem for Maricopa County, and is a proud member of the Arizona Asian American Bar Association, the Arizona Women Lawyers Association, and the Maricopa County Bar Association. She also volunteers her time to various non-profit organizations, including the Asian Corporate & Entrepreneur Leaders (ACEL). She is also a graduate of Scottsdale Leadership Class 31 and the FBI Citizen’s Academy.
